La cantidad de merchandise que podemos encontrar de la gira U2 Popmart es increíble. Me ha gustado especialmente esta bolsa con el logo de Popmart, que contiene una gran cantidad de elementos:

Una camiseta, una gorra, un llavero, un foto cubo con las caras de Bono, Edge, Adam y Larry, una caja de condones y un "snow-globe" con limones en su interior.

U2 POPMART Easter Eggs: Live from Mexico City

Bueno, estos son los contenidos extra ocultos (Easter Eggs) de U2 POPMART: Live from Mexico City (Disco 2):

1. "All kinds of everything": En "documentary aisle" hay que hacer click en la camara de vigilancia. en la pantalla donde seleccionas las canciones "Live From Rotterdam" y "Live From Edmonton" hay que presionar "<" en el mando, cuando se esta en las opciones de Live From Rotterdam. Entonces se tiene que ver como cambia la cámara de vigilancia y presionar OK. Y si no funciona...¡a presionar todos los botones! :)
   
   
2. "What's not in the shopping basket" juego: Para entrar en este easter egg hay que hacer click en "checkout" en el menu "Bonus aisle". Cuando ganamos 2 juegos tienes la opción de ver el el tercer easter egg "Virtual stage tour", y cuando ganas 3 juegos puedes ver "Please live mural cut".

POPMART DVD: Critica y comentarios

Bueno, ya tengo en mis manos el nuevo DVD de U2: U2: PopMart Live from Mexico City.

Salí del trabajo y nada más llegar a casa me puse a ver los 2 DVDs. Es algo fantástico "abrir" el plástico de un material nuevo de U2: "es algo místico"....solo roto por los comentarios de mi novia diciendo: "¿Otra vez vas a ver ese concierto?" o "¿Son personas adultas las que salen de un limón gigante?" :) ¡jejeje! Es realmente difícil ser novia de un fan de U2, pero afortunadamente me "soporta".

Respecto al DVD, realmente se nota la diferencia de calidad en este formato respecto al VHS original. Tanto el sonido como las imágenes son realmente impresionantes. Prácticamente es como estar de nuevo viendo la gira.

Voy a comentar un poco los extras del DVD de la edición Deluxe:

1. Bonus live tracks
Please / Where The Streets Have No Name / Discothèque / If You Wear That Velvet Dress. All recorded live at Feyenoord Stadium, Rotterdam on 18th July 1997

Todas estas canciones ya las habíamos escuchado en un single de U2, y mucha gente habría visto las imágenes en 1997, ya que fueron grabadas para una retransmisión en directo de las TV europeas. Un metraje excelente.

- Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me / Mysterious Ways / One All recorded live at Commonwealth Stadium, Edmonton on 14th June 1997

Simplemente, uno nunca se cansa de ver ONE en directo.

2. Bonus video tracks
- Staring At The Sun (Miami version). Directed by Morleigh Steinberg

A mi personalmente, no me gusta demasiado el vídeo dirigido por la mujer de The Edge, pero ver las caras que pone Bono en el vídeo...no tiene precio.

- Last Night On Earth - First Night In Hell (Remix version).Directed by John Bland

No me aporta demasiado al contenido del DVD.

Se va acercando el día del lanzamiento del DVD POPMART Live From Mexico City. Casi lo noto en mis manos.

Concretamente, aquí en España, me acaba de llegar la publicidad del FNAC: Fecha de lanzamiento 11 de Septiembre. Coste de la edición limitada: 31,95 €.

DVD PopMart Live From Mexico City: 10 Septiembre

Espero que esta vez sea la fecha definitiva. Desde U2.com nos informan que el DVD PopMart Live From Mexico City (Foro Sol Autodromo, Ciudad de Mexico, 3 de Diciembre de 1997) saldrá a la venta el 10 de Septiembre de 2007.

Tal y como comentan, el material grabado para el formato VHS original de este concierto de U2 POPMART TOUR, ha sido remasterizado para este DVD tanto el vídeo como el audio (5.1 Surround Sound).

Como ya comentamos, el DVD PopMart Live From Mexico City tendrá 2 ediciones, la estandard con 1 disco (el concierto) y la Deluxe, con 2 discos, uno de ellos con extras no publicados con anterioridad.

Septiembre 2007: DVD POPMART: Live from Mexico City

Parece ser que se retrasa la publicación de POPMART: Live from Mexico City hasta Septiembre.

La noticia nos llega desde U2mexico.com y desde atu2.com, nos confirman que posiblemente el lanzamiento de este concierto en DVD sea el 3 de Septiembre de 2007.

Tendremos que esperar un poco más para ver este concierto en formato digital.

La gira Popmart tuvo lugar entre 1997 y 1998, y promociono el álbum "U2 POP", del que Bono ha comentado, en numerosas ocasiones, que esta inacabado. Se centraron demasiado en la la gira.

Me gusta este video: Staring At The Sun de POP (Marzo 1997) .Lo puedes ver en Yahoo Music. Espero que al final U2 se decida a hacer una nueva remezcla de este album.
